There was a round 14?

As a fellow lab member has essentially finished her PhD, I missed Sydney's demolition of Queensland - I was out celebrating. Alas, I come home and find my more-or-less beloved Queensland in a spot of bother...

Then I missed Central Coast's win over Adelaide due to a work Christmas party. At least my mum txt'd me the score, but no-one else at the party really cared.

By Sunday I was feeling very very sick (not due to the alcohol though - one week from summer and I have a cold!) So I headed off to Telstra Dome, and while I think that Melbourne had another luckluster performance, I wasn't mentally there, so that game's a bit of a blur. Perhaps I want it to be a bit of a blur...

Get home in time to watch the 2nd half of Perth vs. New Zealand. Had some chicken soup, felt a little better, saw Harnwell finish off his hat-trick and Despotovski get back on the score-sheet. But still didn't really enjoy the match. Was alert enough to pick up Harper's "Vu da-je" comment, relating to New Zealand's performance... I'm sure he meant, "Deja vu." Or perhaps I was so stuffy in the head that I was hearing things...

So in the end, I honestly can't say much about Round 14.

I'm with you. It was all on Fox 3, which means I can't even watch the games at any of my local pubs.

Waking up however, the Roar has finally crashed out of the top 4 all the way to 7th place. Being a Queenslander however, I know it ain't over 'till it's over.

Cheers, and get well quickly.

you didn't miss much. Agree with the fox sport 3 thing. i have it at home but am gonna miss 3-4 games when i am camping at the coast. the surf club has only fox sports 1 and 2.

Very unfair that only digital subscribers can watch the game. it should be available to a larger audience to spread the game.

c'mon Queensland. we can so beat perth this week.

We only recently switched to digital and we could watch the A-League matches before...

I ended up catching some of the matches yesterday morning, when I decided not to head into uni. It's funny, really... I found that I had little interest in the matches, mainly because the one I really wanted to see (Qld's) I had missed. No, I think it's mainly because of the quality of play...

Where I can watch Spanish matches in their entirety even when I know the score, the A-League frustrates me. The white passes it to the coloured, who passes it to the white, and back to the coloured! AAHHH!!!

Hamish: your comments at not being able to catch the football at pubs worries me... perhaps I'll avoid moving out until I figure out how to pay rent and maintain a Foxtel subscription!
